Hi, welcome! We are real estate investors, DIY renovators, short-term rental hosts and interior designers dedicated to creating beautiful experiences through thoughtful, functional design and our love for interesting spaces that tell a story.
In 2022, we embarked on our most ambitious journey yet – restoring a century-old beach cottage in Cape May Point, NJ (now known as The Lighthouse Cottage). What we initially thought would be a small renovation turned into a full-scale, down-to-the-studs restoration, which we completed almost entirely by ourselves over seven months.
The launch of The Lighthouse Cottage also marked the beginning of our new business- which has kind of taken us by storm. We are humbled by the reaction, the bookings, and what has now become an extremely successful venture that has led to a second property. We have been featured in a short-term rental podcast, an interior design publication, by major design and furniture brands and even on HBO/Magnolia Network's "Beach Cottage Chronicles". When I say it’s been a whirlwind, it’s been a whirlwind!
Yet, there’s more to the story – when our house was published online and shared on social media, we started being asked by our guests and strangers alike to design their homes. After declining the first several, Leslie took a chance and said yes to designing a full home renovation and absolutely fell in love. In the last year we have designed seven large scale projects (primary homes, vacation homes and short-term rentals) across the United States from Maine to Ohio and in between!
Lighthouse Home & Design was born from a dream, a discovered passion and a shared goal, and our story is just beginning. Our mission is to craft functional spaces that embody your vision with a focus on the details. We look forward to collaborating with you on your design journey!

Our goal is to design at the scale you need.
Our projects range from single room consultations, mood boards and suggested products, to full-scale, full-house designs from concept all the way through installation and styling.
Intentional Design
Room measurements & spacial planning
We'll start by measuring the room and, using our design software, show you the layout of the space, in a way you may have never seen. We'll use this spec throughout the project to measure, design, iterate and dream.
Inspiration & mood boards
Whether you’re going for a mid-century look & feel or you're more of a grandmillenial type, we'll work together to find a look that's right for you & your home. This step includes comparing samples, fabrics, paints and furnishings.
3D renderings
Using 3D software, we'll present you the designs in realistic renderings that will allow you to picture your newly designed space and move around inside of it.
